My name is David Michael Krauss and I am searching for my son whom was put up for adoption. Myself and Kathleen Kaz-Hopkins are the birth parents of Kyle David Krauss born on 05/05/1993 at Cape Coral Hospital. We tried to raise him the first two years of his life but Kathy I believe looking back now suffered from post partum depression along with addiction and needless to say we split up and I tried for awhile to raise Kyle with the help of my mom but I was young and smart and got into some trouble and got locked up in jail and CPS became involved. Ultimately being a single father‚ my mom's husband was a pal and would not let her help keep him with me‚ I made the hardest decision of my life and that was to put Kyle up for adoption. The adoption took place out of Fort Myers Florida and was a closed adoption. Looking back now I wish I would have not had it as closed at the very least. I have never stopped thinking about him and wonder everyday if he is ok. I was recently diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma‚ an aggressive cancer so time really isnt on my side and would appreciate any help‚ advice I can get. I have done 23 and me about 4 years ago in hopes of finding him there but havent had any luck. I would love to get it released where he can get my name and information incase he has came and looked for me. He has a half sister and aunts and uncles that would love to meet him as well. please help me.
