My son was born at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The Florida Baptist Children’s Home was the agency that would have handled the adoption. The name I used for everything pertaining to the adoption was Barbara Waters. The Children’s Home representative that I spoke with asked what kind of home I wanted my child raised in. I told them how much I loved spending summers with my aunt and uncle who were farmers and were Christians and that’s the kind of family I hoped would adopt him. But the most important thing I wanted for him was for him to have parents who loved him.
