After my mother’s (Barbara A. Koper) passing in 2015‚ my father told my sister and I she gave birth to twin girls in Florida when she was 16 or 17. She came from a strict Catholic Family in Erie‚ PA and was left at the alter. As a consequence‚ she was driven to Florida and stayed with a sponsor family until she gave birth. My understanding is the girls were given up for adoption right afterward. I’m not sure if they were split up or remained together. My Mom dropped out of high school in 10th grade and never went back so it lines up. Shortly after she went through a nervous break-down due to all of the trauma. I’ve often wondered about them and if they still are still alive. My mother was born in 1938 so it had to be between 1954 and 1955.
