My family is trying to find out information on my father’s adoption. His name was Jerry Albritton Robertson. He died in Feb 2003 in Waterbury, CT. We were told that he was born in Florida State Mental Hospital located in River Junction, FL where his mother had been placed and he was adopted by the Robertson family (who took in foster children and adopted some of them). According to other adoptees, the middle name (Albritton) was the last name of the adoptee. His mother may have been Native American Indian (Seminole) which is what he told our mother or possibly (Cherokee) according to children of his first marriage. I was 6 years old when my father left our family.
