I’m looking for my father’s family. He was adopted in Jacksonville/orange park fl children’s home pretty sure only a month or so after being born. Supposedly the mother was a red haired girl and was very young and had gotten pregnant by a sailor. His adoptive parents names were Earl Gordon Eckford and Ruby Eckford. That’s all I really know. I don’t have anything about a hospital or anything like that. I tried contacting the children’s home and was unsuccessful with finding any type of records that were still available.
