My birth mother was 18 years old and lived in Alaska. She was sent to Florida during her pregnancy. I was born in St. Augustine, FL and adopted by a couple in Jacksonville, FL within weeks of my birth. I believe my birth mother either did not tell my birth father she was pregnant or he did not want to have a child at the time. I have done ancestry DNA and have matches for my birth mother’s ancestry to my 15th great-grandfather. I am wondering where my father’s lineage is from and also need to know if there are any major medical problems in my family history.
