I was adopted at birth after being discharged from the hospital in Queenstown‚ Eastern Cape . My original baptismal certificate was named William John Goosen born to Ms J Goosen from Barkley East on 9th March 1950. Am now Andrew Arthur Jefferies adopted by Bert and Lucy Jefferies of the farm Springfountain‚ Komgha District‚ Eastern Cape. I about 1992 I contacted Dept of Adoptions who later contacted me after couple of months saying she had been located but was shocked‚ and had apparently just lost her husband.. Suggested I try it year later which I did but to no avail. I am just trying to get some detail on her status i. e. Whether still alive‚ names‚ location‚ etc.
