I know my half-sister Margaret Brewer was born in January 1950 in Brighton. My young‚ unmarried mother was pressured to give her up for adoption. Possibly a Catholic adoption agency. I believe she was adopted about 6 weeks after birth. My mother lived with the sadness and guilt for the rest of her life. We weren’t told about her until we were in our 40s and 50s. Our mother is no longer with us but my sister and I (and brother) would love to make contact with Margaret or any descendants or close friends.
