I was born in Fernbank maternity home on Old London Road‚ Hastings‚ Sussex. I had a foster mother for a couple of months‚ before going to my adoptive parents (Brenda and David Blackman Noakes). My adoption certificate reads 8 June 1964. My birth mother was 19 years old and her name was Hazel Elaine Thomas (I think she might have now married and her new name is Sellman). At the time‚ she was a hospital domestic worker‚ and lived at 102b‚ Marina‚ Hastings. My own research indicates she may have had a daughter a few years later.
