I believe my birth mother was a young girl working as a nurse. A Doctor Cross in a private clinic in Fitzwilliam Square Dublin took care of the adoption by contacting my adoptive parents to ask if they were interested. They had adopted earlier from the same contact. They were from Longford. I recently found a first cousin and learned that my father was probably Phil Doherty from Gleneely in Donegal‚ living in Dublin‚ having graduated from Trinity College in 1963. I don’t believe he knew he was a father.
