My aunt, Laura Virginia Briggs, nickname was L.V., gave a daughter up for adoption in1948-49. The months probably born were May or June. My aunt lived in California at the time she became pregnant. She came to live with her sister, my mother, Edith Ellen Rollins, and my father, Robert Stanley Rollins. They were living in Washington DC at this time. Laura was approx. 32 years old, and was unmarried. She probably delivered the baby, who was a girl, with red hair. in or around the Washington Dc area. The adoption probably took place in Washington DC, Maryland, or any nearby states. The baby was given up for adoption shortly after birth, or possibly immediately after her birth. My Aunt has since passed away. She was never able to have any other children. I would like to find her daughter, to let her know that she has family who has been trying to find her, and loves her.
