I am adopted and hoping to find my birth relatives. I was born in Cheverly‚ MD (suburb outside Washington‚ D.c.) and was adopted in March 1974 through Pierce Warwick Adoption Agency. I know that I have two older siblings. My birth mother had her father pass away prior to 1974‚ but her mother was living with her brother. My birth mother has one brother and three sisters. All three sisters were married and had children. My birth father trained as an auto mechanic in Vietnam (as a civilian) and then worked in Korea for 12 years as a skilled mechanic prior to coming to the US. His father and mother stayed in Korea and were well off. However‚ the father did not take any responsibility for children who left Korea. My birth father has 2 sisters and 6 brothers. I know that the family was under great stress with the marriage on the verge of divorce. They felt it would be best to put their 3rd child (me) up for adoption. My birth family tree is MASSIVE. My adoption was closed and I have to petition the court to break my seal (which has previously been denied). I would love to just meet everyone. My adoptive family is wonderful and I am not looking to replace them nor do I have an idealized vision of a fairy tale reunion. I just would like to know.
