Born in DC‚ adopted by a family in Fairfax VA. Dad worked for Westinghouse. Dad’s boss was on the DC Welfare board and learned they were trying to adopt. Said he had the perfect child for them. I was 1 year old when placed‚ 18 mos. when adoption finalized. I was told my bio-father was a 32 yr old marine‚ mother was a secretary from Pennsylvania working in DC. I petitioned the court for medical records since DC has a sealed adoption records. Learned from Welfare Dept bio-Mom was Pennsylvania Dutch‚ never married‚ and a librarian in the Pennsylvania school system.
