Currently, I’m trying to find my late mother’s biological family. She was born in Washington, D.C. at General Hospital in 1972. Her official birthdate is September 20th, 1972 but we have reason to believe her actual birthdate could’ve ranged from August to October. She was adopted literally at birth by Clinton W. Stuhlman and Kathleen (Dukas) Stuhlman who lived in Anandale, VA at the time. They divorced and Kathy moved to Staten Island, New York very shortly after the adoption. She was named Kristin Stuhlman by her adoptive family and later Kristin Anzalone. We literally just found out she was adopted and my late mother, Kristin, didn’t even know she was adopted. We literally have no information other than that the mother was from Virginia in her late teens/early twenties and was a strawberry blonde. In fact, my grandmother said she may not even know that that Kristin survived the birth since Catholic Charities was involved with dozens of adoption scandals during the late Sixties and early Seventies, where they’d tell the birth mother the baby was stillborn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s a very bizarre case with few details. But my brother and I would like to find out where my mother comes from and the lineage since she was such a unique personality and starkly different than her adopted family.
