I am searching for the adoption of my father’s sister. She would have been adopted from The Bell Home for Children, in the Anacostia area of Washington D.C. between 1903 and 1910. The Bell Home for Children became The Episcopal Home for Children (she may have been placed in another home). I have no idea of her first name but last name would have been Hardesty. She was suppose have been adopted by a doctor and his wife between the above dates, became a nurse and married a doctor her self. I have very little information on who their parents would have been my father was born between 1903-1906. Both children were taken from the parents because of neglect from the complaint of a neighbor.
