My "father"‚ worked with my "Birth Mother" in a shoe store (Cook’s Shoes) around the Hyattsville‚ Maryland area. I was born to a single‚ unwed mother of 17 Years old in 1963 in Washington DC‚ she registered at the hospital‚ under my "Adoptive Mother’s" name‚ so she could give me a decent home & Upbringing. I only know her first & last name(s)‚ that she was 17 years old at the time & where she was working & how she met my "Future parent’s"‚ from what I do know‚ she held my parent’s in high regard & that my "Real father" was somewhat of a pal & abuser. The "Adoption"‚ if you will was clearly "Very under the table". I am 51 years old currently & she would be around 68 years of age. Again‚ she (My birth mother)‚ was working in the Hyattsvile‚ Maryland area & she had me in Washington DC‚ her "Maiden name" is "Wilkerson"‚ as shown on my Birth Certificate‚ her first name is Doris (Not on the Birth Certificate). Gave me up to a family of 3‚ plus a grandmother‚ Georgia‚ Jane‚ Robert & their son‚ Christopher. Birth certificate shows the spelling "Gillespie"‚ but is incorrect‚ should be Gillaspie" instead. Any kind of assistance would be most welcome‚ as I need to find out my parent’s past medical history & possibly‚ even who my "Real father" is. Please Help!!
