I’m looking for my mother’s birth parents. She was adopted somewhere between 1970 or 1972 from D.C. General Hospital through Catholic Charities. The mother was a fair skinned strawberry blonde woman. The father wasn’t known at the time of birth. The adoptive parents’ last name was Stuhlman. The adoptive mother was a nurse, and the adoptive father was a doctor. They were from New York City and lived in Annandale, VA at the time for less than a year. We have conflicting stories about when my mother was adopted. She was either taken from the birth mother right out of the delivery room or was actually later adopted when she was roughly a year to 14 months old. Surnames that might be the birthparents may or may not be: Ramsey, Kostelnak, Koscielniak, Janke, Paisley, Wallace, or Carner.
