Recently we were told that our father & a high school girlfriend gave a child up for adoption in the summer of 1969. We were told that the birthmother carried the baby and gave birth to a daughter while living with some sort of Catholic Ministries services for unwed pregnant girls or possibly a convent. It was most likely in the regions of mid to northern New York. Possibly near the area of Woodstock/Albany or points further north. At birth we believe she was given the first name Kim or Kimmy. The birthparents are both from Connecticut. Birthmother’s last name is McCarthy and Birthfather’s last name is McLaughlin. She would be our half sibling.
