My mother would not let me take you home (the law at that time was that anyone under 18 had to have a parent sign the baby out of the hospital). You were put up for adoption through the state of CT. It broke my hear to give you up. You are a biracial child (father black, mother white). You biological father is deceased and was named Jesse Cunningham, living in Middletown Ct and married at the time of your birth. I sent a letter and a small gold cross with you when you were adopted. You had surgery on a club foot around the age of 18 months I was told. I was told you were adopted to a doctor and his wife out of state. Miss Donahue was your adoption worker and I assume she’s passed. My name is Anna Stevens and I still (or rather again) live in Middletown CT. I am 62 which makes you 45 being born in 1976. I would very much love to meet you and if nothing else give you some family health history. I have not tried to contact you out of shame in the past, but I have always loved you and think of you often.
