I am searching for my mothers biological mother and father. She was born in a womens correctional institute in Hartford‚ CT which is now closed. I cannot find any birth records for the prison. There is no one alive on my mothers side who can tell us the biological mothers name. Her fathers name might always remain a mystery‚ but there is always hope. The adoption was facilitated through Catholic Charities of New York. My Mom was adopted by a couple who lived in Kings Park‚ NY. She grew up there‚ and there was extended family in Utica‚ NY. I make this search to see if there are related family members still alive in the hope we could discover what our mothers biological mother was like and to obtain family health information.
