Hi there. I am looking for a sister I never met. My mother gave birth to a girl at a VA hospital in either Denver Colorado or north of Colorado Springs, sometime between 1970-1971. The exact date is unknown as our mom will not share details. My mom’s maiden name was Anna Sturdevant. She was underage (17 or 16) at the time. She was driven to the hospital by her mother (my grandma) Aiko Suzuki. My grandmother was very secretive about my mom’s pregnancy and did not want anyone to know my mom had given birth, so drove to a hospital far away from C. Springs. I am not sure if my grandmother would have allowed my mom’s name to be on the birth certificate. If possible, she would have forbidden it. The father’s name was Ron Shreves. Though I doubt that was on the birth certificate. He was a little older than her, so could have been 19, 20, or 21 years old.
