I am trying to locate Shelly Marie Miller (adopted name) My family was her foster family from the time of her birth to the date of her adoption. She was born in Montrose Colorado. I was just a child myself (around 10) so I have guessed on the birthday info. I do know her adopted family were Steve and Sheila Miller and they already had an adopted son named Scott. They lived in The Denver area. She was so very precious to us and we wanted desperately to adopt her ourselves‚ but that was not the choice made for her by her case managers. She was deeply loved and wanted and has been treasured in our memories all these years. Because we were her foster family‚ she would not know us or to look for us. We just want to know she’s happy‚ healthy and thriving. We have tried to find her for so many years to nonavail‚ that we thought we might try here. Foster families are such a key component to so many adoptions‚ they love and invest their hearts into children who go away. For foster families to many times these are "deaths" with no way to morn the loss‚ because the child is still living‚ but now "dead" to you. That was the case here: we brought a beautiful‚ brand new baby home from the hospital (less than 24 hours old) and she was ours for 10 months‚ before she was adopted. We simply want to say... we loved who you were and we pray you have become a masterpiece in the earth. You are precious.
