I gave my son up for adoption in March of 1977. I went though a Catholic adoption agency that is now closed. He was born David Lee Brennan at St. Joe’s in Denver Co. I had just turned 18 and was sent away by my parents to live at my sisters and go to school at a school for pregnant girls on Colbreath ave in Co. I believe. I do not remember the name. He was born on Feb. 26‚ 1977. We both were sick in the hospital for over 7 days and I cared for him every day until I was released. He went to a Catholic family from another state. I sent him with a letter and a crochet blanket I made for him but I am not sure if he ever got either. He would be 48 this year and I would just like to know if he is okay. I have regrets but I feel I did the right thing. My mom was really sick and my dad was leaving our family. I had no support system and when I sent the adoption papers to his dad he did not claim him. I was very alone and knew he had a better life with the couple that could not have children. I hope David is okay. I just want to know that he is. I would love to meet him if he is looking for his teenage mom.
