BarbaraHamren
I was born in Barbara Jo Hamren in Bremerton, Washington on August 9, 1944. My birth parents names were (deceased now) Gunnar Hans Hamren and Kathryn Spencer Hamren. The family story is that my Grandmother Spencer kidnapped me when I was 2 and went to Denver, Colorado, ran an ad in the paper, and she gave me to Stanley Frank Raynock and Jeanne Raynock (deceased now). I believe they were living in Kremmling, Colorado then. A different story was that my Grandmother worked with the Catholic Charities to find me a home. This happened in the fall (I think) of 1946. Supposedly adoption papers were filed in Grand County, Colorado. Before my adopted father died he said the adoption was never finalized. Different stories are that my Grandmother forged papers and the other is that my mother signed papers giving me away. Supposedly my Grandmother refused to tell my mother and father where I was and convinced my 17 year old mother that this was best. My birth parents got a divorce then. They met later in life and remarried. I knew and visited my birth parents from the age of 12 on so I know who they are. What I am looking for is a copy of whatever papers were filed in Grand County to supposedly adopt me. I would like to see what the papers say, whose signatures are on them, dates, etc. Thank you for any help.
