I am searching for my biological brother‚ who was placed for adoption in Colorado. I believe he was born in 1966‚ possibly in January 1966‚ in the Denver‚ Colorado area. Our biological mother was Sharry LaRae Barden‚ born November 12‚ 1946‚ in St. Joseph‚ Missouri. She lived in the Denver area during the 1960s and attended North High School in Denver. Her maiden name was Barden. I had previously believed the birth may have taken place at St. Anthony Hospital in Denver‚ but I am no longer certain of the hospital‚ so I do not want that detail to rule anyone out. There may have been a connection to Catholic Charities in Denver or another Catholic adoption service or agency‚ although this has not yet been confirmed. My mother was very young at the time. Her father was Burnell Edward “Bud” Barden (his military records spell his first name Burnelle). The family lived in the Denver area‚ and Bud worked for Conoco/Continental Oil service stations. Other family names that may appear in records include Barden and possibly the spelling variant Bardon. My mother later used the surname Dunning after her relationship with Michael Ernest Dunning. I am not looking to disrupt anyone's life or make assumptions. I am simply trying to identify my brother and learn what happened after his adoption. Our mother passed away in December 2024‚ leaving many unanswered questions. If any of these names‚ places‚ dates‚ or circumstances sound familiar‚ I would be very grateful for the opportunity to compare information privately and respectfully.
