I am searching for my birth parents and/or siblings. I was born on July 24‚ 1977 at Saint Joseph's Hopspital in Denver‚ Colorado and was adopted on August 31‚ 1977 in Denver by wonderful parents‚ who I am still in regular contact with. I am their only child and feel blessed to have been raised by them. They were very open with telling me about my adoption. I have been married for 20 years and have one son (15). At times‚ I do not feel that I have much in common with my adoptive parents and am very curious to know more about my birth parents‚ who were very young (18-birth mother‚ 20-birth father) and not married at the time of my birth. Although I only have limited information about them (no names or contact information)‚ I am glad that they chose to give me up for adoption if they felt they could not raise me properly. My adoptive parents‚ who have lived in Colorado (various places) for nearly all of their lives‚ were not able to have children naturally‚ but have been tremendous parents. I have also lived in Colorado (various places) for my whole life. Equally‚ if not more important in my search is finding any siblings or half-siblings. Although‚ it's possible that there are no such people‚ I have that "gut instinct" that I have at least a half-sibling out there somewhere. As an only child in my adoptive home‚ I feel that I missed out on that sibling relationship and hope to be able to have that in my adult life.
