I was born in Cali‚ Valle del Cauca‚ Colombia‚ on October 15‚ 1996 and was adopted as a baby to a family in Belgium‚ where I grew up. According to the information in my Colombian adoption records‚ my biological mother’s name is recorded as Helen Quiñónez. I currently do not know her second surname or have further identifying information about her. My adoption was processed through the ICBF (Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar) in Colombia. I am currently undertaking an official Búsqueda de Orígenes (Search for Origins) with the ICBF to obtain more information about my biological family and the circumstances surrounding my adoption. I have never been in contact with my biological mother or other known biological relatives.
