My child was born in Redcar, (Cleveland), Yorkshire, and his birth-mother’s name was Margaret Husband, my name is Melvyn Taggart. His name at birth was Robert Husband, and he was born at home on the High Street, Redcar, where his Grandparents were present. I believe the couple who adopted him were either local, from a nearby town in Cleveland, or possibly from County Durham. It is possible they retained his first hame, Robert, but added a middle name - which I do not remember. I moved for work purposes at the age of 19 from Redcar to London before Robert was born.
