Hi I am Danielle and I’m looking for half brother or sister who would be older than me (I was born in 1969). I found a letter amongst my Dad’s things stating that he "could now cease payments, as the child has been adopted" From memory this letter was dated 1967. However, I saw the letter only once, I don’t remember there being a letter head and so I may be out by a couple of years. This is a subject that has never been discussed within the family, It is only due to my curious (nosy) nature that I found this letter as a child. My Dad’s name was Louis (Lou) Smith, he was born in 1934 in Widnes and remained there all his life. At the time of my siblings adoption he would have lived in Barnes Road. I am an only child and it would mean the world if I could find a big brother or sister.
