I am trying to trace my mother’s birth family. We believe she was rehomed as a baby in roughly 1946/1947. Maybe she was born in a nursing home in Galway? We think maybe an Ursuline nun from Thurles might have rehomed her with her step parents who eventually adopted her when the adoption law started in 1952. They were Stanislaus & Mona Keogh from St Adrians, Sutton, Co Dublin. My mother thinks maybe her original mother might have been from Carlow or Galway perhaps?
