Looking for Clifford Wilson, born between February and March of 1903 in Hayward, CA. Was removed from the home by the Ladies Relief Society of Oakland between November 1904 and January 1905 - he was 1 year and 9 months old at that time. Father: Frederick John Wilson, born Chicago, IL. Worked for Southern Pacific Co as a bridge builder. Died September 1903 of tuberculosis. Mother: Meta D (Niemeyer) Wilson Drum, born July 1873 in California, most likely Hayward. She was Frederick’s second wife and after his death, she remarried to Jacob Joseph Drum in 1906. She was a nurse in the home of the O’Hara family of Oakland, CA in 1910. Her whereabouts after that are unknown. It is estimated that she died or remarried around 1913. Jacob Drum was married to another woman and had a child by 1915. Sister: Ione Marie Wilson, born September 1901. Was with Clifford from 1904/1905 at the Children’s Home in Oakland until March of 1910 when she was moved to a different orphanage. She like to write poetry and later became a nun. Half sisters: Mildred Elna (Aug 1893-July 1987) and Frances Marie (Apr 1895-May 1979). Mildred became a teacher and Frances was a hair dresser. Half brother: Frederick or Freddy (Sept 1896) was fostered to a family in Crescent City, CA by 1910. He was an orchestra leader and an architect. He died of tuberculosis in 1925. Half siblings are from Fredericks first marriage. Clifford may have also been fostered or adopted and his name may have changed, but he would at least remember one of his sisters (Ione) and he would know that his name was once Clifford Wilson. Anyone with information, please contact me.
