Hi‚ I have been looking for my birth father for over 30 years and still have no success. Around 1992 I met my birth mom in her hometown of Montana and we had 5 wonderful years before she died in an accident. Whenever I mentioned my birth dad she got really upset and wouldnt talk about it. I then found his death certificate. His name was Verner Cole Brandon and he was born dec 20 1920 in Auburn California to James and Martha Brandon. When my mom was pregnant with me at 8 months she said he vanished without a word and she placed me up for adoption in Sacramento CA. He passed away in May 1985 of a heart attack in Sacramento. I have tried to find his family for over 30 years and to no avail despite looking up his school records‚ hospital records and military records. Ive put up my info in blogs and yet nobody responded. I cant help but wonder if my dads real name was not Verner c Brandon or that my mom put misleading info on my birth certificate. Even if my dads family doesnt want to meet up with me I would like to at least know what he looked like.
