I was born at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA to a Jo Ann who resided in East Palo Alto, CA. I was under the impression that my birth father was in fact my mother’s father. This information was provided by non-identifying info from Social Services. I was relinquished for adoption at birth due to the circumstances. I found my birth mother doing my own research back in 2008. She confirmed the story I’d been told. It wasn’t until very recently through GEDCOM’s "Are my Parents related" service that I discovered that my parents in fact are not related!! So, now i’m attempting to use my GEDMatch to decipher my paternal line. I have very few 2nd to4th cousin matches and most seem to be from my maternal line. There’s alot of information to go through in order to create a paternal tree, so I’m seeking assistance.
