My daughter's curiosity has enticed me to find out where I'm really from and who my parents are. Especially since my official adoption date is the same month and day as my second daughter's birthday (this must be a sign). From my vital records: City: Sacramento County‚ CA Hospital: unknown Doctor/Physician: (???) Local registrar: I.O. Church‚ M.D. Agency: unknown Family: Bonds & Charles (adoptive family) Other info: My records are sealed since the adoption took place in California. Here were some non-identifying information I was given many years ago once I found out I was adopted... My bio mother was listed as Mexican. My bio father was not named or listed. She was around 15/16 years of age when she had me. Her father had died in an automobile accident around March 1957. While in the orphanage I believe I was initially listed as "Baby Girl Garcia" and then called "Juanita." I was officially adopted at two years of age and then my name was changed.
