Female Adoptee searching for Birth Family Birth Name: Jamie Dawn Fowler-Smith. DOB 01/03/1966 Adoption was handled by Children’s Home Society of California in San Francisco (from here on referred to as CHS). Birth Father name J.D. Fowler. Birth Father raised on Cattle Ranch in Oregon, was an only Child. Came to San Francisco and lived with Birth mother until I was born at UCSF Hospital. Birth mother first initial unknown, last name given as Smith. Birth mother was raised by her paternal grandparents in Tennessee after her own father was killed in car accident when she was around 3 years old. Birth mother’s mother (my maternal grandmother) left my birth mother with her father’s parents (my paternal great- grandparents) and had no further contact with my birth mother after that. My Birth parents relinquished me to Children’s Home Society of California, and spent the next 2 moths in some sort of foster care unit until my adoptive parents were granted temporary custody. My adopted parents filed a petition to legally adopt me through Marin County Superior Court. The decree of adoption was granted on January 31, 1968. I submitted my DNA to Ancestry.com in 2016 but have no close relative matches, except one, and she is also adopted, a probable 3rd cousin at best, who has no information either. I was contacted by the program Long Lost Family in 2018 to possibly appear on their show for a special on 50 year separations, but did not meet their emotion level criteria. I am certain they had the information I have been seeking for decades but they would not share it with me. I have no children and thus no blood relatives on this earth that I am aware of
