I was born in Oakland California. My birth mom named me Leonard. She was 21 and my dad was 24 when I was born. I was adopted through the Native Sons and Native Daughters Adoption Agency. My birth mom was left on a doorstep and was also adopted. Her adoptive parents thought she might be Irish. Her adoptive parents were of Dutch descent. The family already had 3 older children‚ 2 boys and a girl. My birth mom was blonde with hazel green eyes and was 5’3”. She was a high school grad and attended a conservatory of music. She worked as a Federal Civil Service secretary for the Army Air Corps in Panama. That is where she met my birth father. He was 5’8” with dark brown curly hair and grey eyes and served in the US Army. His parents were from southern families that have been in the country for several generations and of Czech descent.
