My father was adopted in the Sonoma County, CA area in 1939. Birth certificate states 11-11-39 as date of birth. Don’t know if this is the date of birth or the date of the adoption. He says he was born in Santa Rosa, CA. He was adopted by George and Georgia (Jean) Russell. They were living in San Francisco at the time. He would like to find out information about his biological family if possible. He is very elderly and his parents didn’t tell him anything about the adoption and they have since passed on. Dad took DNA test and is a match to a family named Spellman.
