Mother was 23‚ Irish English and Scotch decent. Health history of sinus trouble‚ kidney infections‚ liver damage from hepatitis‚ nearsighted and is RH negative. She went into the Army in 1960‚ married in 1961probably while living in S.C.‚ then moved to San Antonio T.X. where her son (my half brother) was born on July 30 1962. Sometime in 1962-4 she separated from her husband and moved with her son to Santa Barbara C.A. where her mother and 2 of 3 sisters lived. She then met my father‚ (a neighbor in the apt. building) Nicholas Cook and I was born 3-17-1965 by C-section at Valley Hospital of Santa Barbara. I believe she is also adopted because the records from DSS refer to my "Maternal adoptive Relatives". The description my mother gave to DSS was completely inaccurate indicating that she either didn’t want to disclose who he was or wasn’t sure about the paternaty. The adoption was handled by Santa Barbara County Dept. of Social Services.
