My mother was adopted when she was 4 years old. She was the oldest of 4 children and grew up in Lakewood Ca. She was born under the name Susan Lorraine and I believe Fickling also but became Watters after being adopted by Lola and Mac Watters. Her bio mothers name was Maxine Fickling. She had a sister Diane who was adopted under the last name Weidenkopher and they became cousins after they both were adopted. they did keep in touch until my aunt Diane Vonhaubsburg (her married name) past away in 2016. My mother would love to find her sister who was born under the name of Barbara and may have been adopted by the family babysitter. We know nothing about her father and are trying to put together our family tree.
