I was adopted via a private adoption thru the Children's Home Society‚ Oakland CA in approx July 1967. I was born in San Francisco on May 1‚ 1967‚ and adopted by Nick and Palmira Medina. They named me Sandra Sue Medina. My non-identifying paperwork from Children's Home society indicates my birth mother was born in Newfoundland Canada (she was age 29 when I was born) and birth father was also from Canada (age 26 when I was born). Notes from Foster mother indicate my birth name may have been "Monica". While in Foster care (May thru July 1967) I saw a Dr‚ Imelda C Owen MD‚ 1800 South Main Street‚ Walnut Creek‚ CA. It's also noted that I was seen by a nurse Nellie M Haynes R.N. at same Walnut Creek‚ CA location. The name of the social worker on my case was Mrs. Alma Savedra. Birth mother came from a family of eight‚ and birth father had three sisters and one brother.
