- "Baby boy Waldeck" I believe was assigned at birth (per my mom) - DOB November 20th or 21st of 1963 - Born to Catherine Ann Waldeck (his birth mother) and her birthday is 8/22/1944 - Born in Modesto‚ California - Father? Not sure of the name but I can possibly get it‚ but even then I don't believe he had any part of it. My grandmother (his birth mother) was 19 years old at the time she gave birth. She was not married and because of that‚ her mother‚ Elma Matilda Waldeck (maiden name Johnson) and father‚ Carol August waldeck‚ sent her to Modesto‚ California to live with her sister Carrie engelke (maiden name Waldeck and I want to say her middle name is possibly Ann as well) and deliver the baby and place him up for adoption. Apparently it was "frowned upon" to have a baby out of wedlock. Some other irrelevant information that could possibly help is that her sister Carrie who she was staying with‚ was married to john engelke and they were stationed at an army base near Modesto and I'm almost certain the base is called Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow. That is where my grandmother (birth mother of my uncle I'm trying to find) met my grandfather William LeVangie and they later married on April 4‚ 1964. My grandmother met my grandfather when she was pregnant and he wanted so badly for her to keep the baby and raise it as his own‚ but she refused because she didn't want to disappoint her mother unfortunately. So she went through with the adoption and later married and had 4 more children.
