I gave birth to a son on 10/1/58 at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood‚ CA. It was a private adoption arranged by my family doctor. I do not remember his name. The original doctor passed away about six months later‚ and his practice was taken over by a Dr. Chamberlain. I believe their office was also in Lynwood or the surrounding area. Since it was a Catholic hospital‚ in those days they required that the mother carry the baby out of the hospital‚ which I did‚ and handed him to my doctor‚ and he took the baby to the adoptive parents. The only information I have about the adoptive parents is that they were originally from Florida and had another 8-year-old son who was adopted. The clothing for the baby was hand embroidered. I would like to find that child if he has any interest in finding me.
