I was born in Ventura at the Community Memorial HOspitalat 1:p.m.I thinkj I was taken care of by a Mexican/American Lady for a year, later adopte. There was some question regarding the biological father’s rights. I have a one paged, type-written summary of "The family history of Douglas Lusky," the adopted parents being Idalee Adel Lusky and Harold Herzl. Among other interesting cultural background references, it states that the father and mother were lovers, the father left or was ill. He had the lung cancer. It states only that he was pulled out of a rabbinical college in the then Soviet Union and inducted in the army in the fight against the Nazis. Then he is in California years later, a small buisnesman who lived with my mother as lovers. She had five or six children from another man. She hails from Scotland I think, was on welfare at the time and felt it better to give me a home. I am not sure if she was Jewish or not. There were many "culutural/artisitic/political ancestors." The great grandmother it says, "was a well known concert pianist who traveled throught Europe, an uncle was a mayor of perhaps a Belguim town well known for his outspoken attitude against the Nazis and there were some some medical doctors as well. The paternal father it says was a Rabbi in Russia. I am assuimng the Ukraine/Pale area. I have a very Askenazi face, similar in construction to say, the actor Jeff Goldblum, it that should mean anything. Thanks.
