I believe my birth mother passed away, some time in 2009. An adoption agency ran my birth certificate, and discovered two other birth certs, in addition to my adopted cert. My mother’s was under her surname, La Veda LaFever, from Oklahoma. My birth father’s surname was Brewer, from Texas. What I need is a copy of the birth father’s birth certificate, in order to initiate a search for him. Who do I contact for this and how do I go about it? Thank you so much. It’s probably moot, since I am 58, and he is probably pushing 80 y.o. now.
