My husband and I lived in Saugus, California. A small town with one doctor, Dr. Parnell. A very small hospital across on the other side of town called Inter Valley Hospital, was were I gave birth at 7 months to my precious baby on December 30, 1971 at around 5 to 6 pm in the evening. I was alone when I gave birth, as the nurse insisted my husband had to leave and called for the nurse. She grabbed my baby and ran into the nursery. There, I watched her, through the cracks of the curtains, rocking my baby in a rocking chair as I pounded on the window. No help, and she did not come to me. I became weak and couldn’t stand no longer so I returned to bed staring at the nursery door waiting for the nurse. No nurse ever came out of the door and a candy stripper proceeded to escort me out of the hospital the following morning. We have looked and looked for our baby since 1971.
