My sister’s baby girl was born at Los Gatos Community Hospital in Los Gatos‚ CA. The obstetrician and delivering doctor was Sidney Sokolow. He put her out for the delivery and when she woke up he told her that her baby had died. No one from the family who were also at the hospital ever got to see her. Neither a birth or death certificate was signed. After searching for answers for years they found other woman that the same thing had happened to with the same doctor. It wasn’t until after my sister and her husband went to the authorities and demanded both certificates that Dr. Sokolow wrote them out . He put down her cause of death as heart failure. He had earlier told her that her baby died from Trisomy 13‚ then from exposure to German measles and telling her that the baby born with a cyclops eye in the middle of her forehead and all of her insides on the outside. The same story was given to two other women who was also delivered by Dr. Sokolow. It was discovered that his wife worked with (and was President) of the Jewish Family Services and she arranged adoptions. It is whole heartedly believed that the Sokolows were taking babies that he had delivered and offered them to families that they deemed "better parents" for the child. Without any proper answers my sister has been waiting for her daughter to show up one day.
