My name is Chloe. I was born in a San Diego‚ California hospital. My biological mom‚ Kim Gentile‚ was distant and had mental and physical problems‚ and none of her family knew where she was. When she was giving birth‚ they didn’t even know she was pregnant. The day I was born‚ her sister‚ Michelle Gentile‚ adopted me because she couldn’t take care of me. I was out of contact with Kim (my bio mom) until she died years later when I was four. Michelle then married Paul Bassett‚ who is now my adopted dad. (Adopted parents: Paul and Michelle Bassett) Since Michelle is my bio aunt‚ I’ve still met bio family on that side‚ like cousins‚ etc. But no one knows who my biological father is because he’s not written on the birth certificate. And no one in my family knows because Kim was mentally ill‚ physically ill‚ distant‚ and moved around so much it was impossible to get in touch with her. They didn’t even know she was pregnant. Michelle literally just got a call to come pick the baby (me) up‚ or I would go into foster care. So I’m trying to find who my biological father is‚ and hopefully find out whether I have half-siblings or not. I took an AncestryDNA test. Only distant cousins came up. There was one person who was closest to me. It says she was a first cousin or aunt‚ but she didn’t recognize the name Kim Gentile. And that’s all I have‚ because I don’t have my bio dad’s last name‚ so I don’t know if that family is on either side‚ etc.
