I was adopted by a nurse and a Los Angeles police officer last name Lewis. They didn’t uphold to the adoption and continuously through my youth till I was 15 or 16 sent me to boys homes and state institutions and then would bring me back home, until at 16 they just washed their hands of me. At just 7 yrs old I was asking why I couldnt come home as they were leaving me in one of those messed up places they decid3d to write me a letter shortly after to tell me I was adopted, and I was too much for them and I wouldnt be anymore than what my genes would allow. At 52 today, I struggle with who I am because even though Mrs. Lewis (adoption mother) is still alive, she still fails to recognize me as her family, doesn’t even acknowledge my daughterm, and hasn’t even considered telling me who my birth mother is. The information I have came from a teacher/counselor in one of the state institutions when I was younger, and here it is I was born in a Catholic hospital My birth mother was at the time of my birth older, like 25-30 yrs old I have 2 older sister My biological father was not her husband My family is from Louisiana, but could be Mississippi, Virginia or Florida And I come from a prestigious family, I’m not sure if she was referring to my mother or father or both. I would like to know why I am who I am, where I come from. If my genes determine the person I am, according to Warren Lewis, the person I will be and cannot change, then I know that they were great. My circumstances growing up, how I was treated, the environment I lived in I am not a criminal, I am not in prison, never been. My daughter Iso the only family I have, I’d like to find them for her.
