I am searching for the daughter of Marianne Harriet Chapel. Marianne was born 17 AUG 1924 in San Diego, California. She became pregnant in the 40s and gave her daughter up for adoption. I am unsure of the date, month or even year of her daughter’s birth, but I suspect it was around 1942-3, based on comments made by Marianne while alive. I am told she named her daughter Mary Ann or Marianne, though adoptive parents may have changed the baby’s name. I’ve started a family tree for Marianne on Ancestry in the hope that someone finds it while searching for their matches: "Chapel Family Tree" (Link not working in this message, but available upon request.) Marianne passed long before DNA testing was available, so no close match DNA is or will be coming. Perhaps matches through Marianne’s cousins or her daughter’s potential father’s side of the family are out there? The father I’ve listed is based on verbal communication that the father’s name was Phil, and Marianne met him in NY while she was attending Juilliard and playing cello. Marianne was a close friend of my family. I have some photos posted on Flckr that I can share with anyone who thinks they may be related.
