My mom’s name was Sonia Underwood and she gave up her baby girl born July 7‚ 1959 to a couple thru a private lawyer adoption in San Francisco‚ CA. she told me the name Gene (or Jean or maybe Eugene) Ward but I don’t know if that meant he was the one adopting or the birth father. She also said he was a golf pro. She named the baby Kimberly Louise but most likely was changed by her adoptive parents... I’ve been looking for my sister for nearly 20 years and I will keep trying because I want to find her and let our mother feel at peace with giving her up. The guilt has eaten her up her entire life and she deserves to be rid of the torture.
